This is our second tip of the week. We are interested in what you think about ourtips of the week. Visit our message board and let us know what you think.

One thing I have found is you need to make your team registration fees as low as possible. My club in the IKWF charges $50. We spend between $150-$200 per wrestler each year. We are able to do this because of our fundraising success. Check back next week for that tip.

On my club, we offer a $10 deposit registration over the summer. This reserves their spot and we know they are somewhat interested in joining. Last year was the first year we did this and everyone joined the team that paid the $10 deposit. With football, soccer, baseball costing as much as $150 an athlete, my parents really appreciated the $10 pre-registration deposit.

What we also did was over payment plans. This was very successful with people joining. We had our largest registration in 10 years. Most parents paid within the first month.
