Wednesday, October 28th, 2009This page is dedicated to the Cael Sanderson V4.0. This is the 4th version of the shoe (hence the original name). With the start of the 2nd version, our customers have started calling them V2, V3, V4′s. I must admit when they first started doing this we had no idea what the kids were talking about. Now that it is in it’s fourth iteration and no other shoes are in the same version, the V4.0 is a unique name to ask for them.
This wrestling shoe will likely be 2009-2010 wrestling season and 2010-2011 wrestling season. This has not been confirmed yet – we are assuming Asics will keep these in the line for two years which is what they normally do.
Cael Sanderson was a 4 time NCAA undefeated Division I Champion and an Olympic Gold Medalist and World Silver Medalist. He is the head coach at Penn State moving there this year after several season at Iowa State.

Response II 2 adidas Wrestling Shoes Black and Gold
Wednesday, October 21st, 2009The Response I wrestling shoes have been in adidas’ line up for several years. Quite possibly 5 years if my memory is not failing me right now. Originally they were offered in Silver and Red and Orange. Vegas gold was added a few years ago and Lime Green was quite popular too. Then two years ago the Black and Navy and Green colors were added and essentially dropped in favor of the Response II. The Response I’s are technically still in the catalog this year, but they have been replaced with the Response II’s.
If adidas is consistent with their offerings, this shoe should be offered in both the 2009-2010 season and the 2010-2011 wrestling season.

Nike originally had this in their catalog for the 2009 – 2010 season but it was pulled from the line so people are now scrambling that it is almost officially wrestling season to find this shoe now. UPPER: Breathable mesh upper for freedom of movement
MIDSOLE: Full-length double lasted midsole for low to the ground control
OUTSOLE: Gum Rubber outsole with forefoot wraps provide traction at any angle.

Henry Cejudo Wrestling Shoes – Vaporspeed II
Sunday, October 18th, 2009This shoe was originally just going to be called the Vapor Speed II but when adidas signed Olympic Champion Henry Cejudo they put his name on it. Interesting fact with adidas only John Smith, Kendall Cross, Brandon Slay and Henry Cejudo have their name on an adidas shoe. The Cejudo comes in other color combinations like Black/Grey/Orange and White and Black.
If you are looking to save some money, this shoe has a very similar sole (or bottom) of the shoe as the much more expensive adidas adistar wrestling shoes.
This shoe will likely be out for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 wrestling seasons. Assuming of course adidas keeps these shoes in the line like they normally do with new shoes they bring out.
