As most of you know Olympic sports at
the college level are in serious danger of becoming extinct.

The problem is Norma Cantu and the rules
that she has created as the bureaucrat in the department
of education who controls the rules governing discrimination.
All of her policies and rules lead to a thinly disguised
quota, called proportionality, that is impossible for
male athletes to avoid or escape.
Cantu says there are three ways for a
school to avoid charges of discrimination:
1. Achieve proportionality (this means
that you drop enough male athletes so that the percentage
of female athletes equals the percentage of females
enrolled in the school.)
2. Show that you have a history of and you continuously
increase female participation at the school.
3. Show that you have accommodated all of the female
interest at the school.
The first way is clearly a quota that
only eliminates males. The second and third ways of complying
with title IX always and only increase female participation.
Presently 4-5 males are being dropped under the proportionality
rule for every female added. At the present rate many
if not all Olympic sports opportunities for men will soon
be gone at the college level.
Since the only person who can get rid
of Norma and abolish proportionality is the next President
of the United States we are going to do our own form of
a million man petition march for the next year to inform
the next President of our problem and the solution. We
are asking everyone to sign a petition asking the next
President to abolish the proportionality rule.
We have just begun the petition drive
and already we have thousands of petition signatures.
I am asking that you do several things
to help us:
1. Print out the petition, make many copies
and ask everyone you know to sign them. Before printing
the petition, go into printer
setup or page set up and delete the headers and footers
from the page. This will allow the petition to
print on one page.
2. Make sure that there is a table or petition signing
at every sports contest in your area. Make sure only
those over 18 sign this petition.
3. Once you have gathered the signatures you are going
to have on the petition mail them to the name at the
bottom of the petition.
OUR GOAL IS 10,000 SIGNATURES IN IOWA,
AND 100,000 SIGNATURES NATIONALLY BEFORE THE IOWA CAUCUSES
IN FEBRUARY. WE ARE SEEKING 1,000,000 SIGNATURES NATIONALLY
BEFORE THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS.
We need a leader in every state who will
take control of this petition drive. If you are that person,
